My Current 1440p monitor seems to have died on me (AOC 1440p IPS @ 60 Hz) and looking for a replacement.

Is the LG 27GP850-B pretty much the go to or is there something else I should consider? Only using it for gaming. Want IPS and 144Hz +

Edit: MAG274QRF-QD also looks to be a contender, but a decent amount more expensive.

LG has very good response times/excellent overdrive tuning for very low overshoot...
But contrast of that particular 27" 2450x1440 Nano-IPS panel is blast from your forum registering time.
So you'll need good room illumination or black will suck harder than vacuum.
It's kinda like left hand didn't know what right was doing and wanted panel for gaming while right was doing office work panel...
Also while LG used to be the maker of the widest gamut panels, nowadays they're stuck on DCI-P3 which is only mediocre wide in greens.

AU Optronics panel in MSI has like 40% higher and well above normal for IPS contrast.
So black would look better/you wouldn't need as bright room illumination.
Both which would benefit gaming.
And besides DCI-P3 AUO's panel covers also AdobeRGB gamut, which reaches deeper into greens. (+cyan)
That gives really vibrant colours for sky/vegeration/water in games.
Hence that would be my choise for 27" 2560x1440 IPS.
