Hi chaps

A few weeks back my Hazro decided to pack in, looks as though this has been sorted with Hazro / OcUK.

just wanted a little advice on the replacement.

Don't really want to risk Hazro again, so I'm looking at the new dell 2713H and HM or the Asus PB278Q

Reading the review on TFT central it seems the Asus has the best response time for gaming etc. Having said that they are all better than the Hazro WA which I didn't realise was so bad in testing.

What should I go for?

FPS and sim racing is generally all I do gaming wise, would be hard to go back to 1080p.
I think once you go 1440 anything under looks terrible IMO.

I gather the dell uses the LG panel and Asus Samsung?

With the games you play a 120/144hz monitor would probably be better. I haven't tried above 1080p though but input lag/refresh rate/response time comes above image quality for me.

Well you may have a point, but I'm still concerned about 1080p image quality.

If I did go for 1080p, 24" of 27"?

People seem to complain about the desktop image with 27" @ 1080p.
I'll google images for that Res and see what comes up.

At the moment I'm on a backup 226BW 22" @1680x1050 60hz.
The image quality is terrible over the Hazro at 1440p.

How does the above compare to 1920x1080? I have never seen this res in person.
I went straight from the 226BW to 1440p which also has me concerned.

The best 27" 1440p seems to be the Asus (going off repsonse time)

The lag times on the new Dell units 2713 seem really high according to TFT central.

Cheers for the advice buddy! Went for the Asus PB278Q in the end.
Stunning bit of kit and a big improvement over the Hazro it replaced.

I may get a second screen at 120hz + 1080p as a gaming screen.
They seem cheap enough over the 1440's.

Depends how I get on with the Asus.
