Looking to replace my pair of U2412Ms (24",1900x1200) with a single 27" 4K monitor.

I don't game that much, but I keep meaning to get back into it. I don't know how much attention I should pay to FreeSync; I do have a Vega though.
I won't use this for watching movies, it'll just be for coding / browsing / gaming.

I've set my budget at this as someone has offered me a Dell P2715Q for £400.

I've also found a LG 27UD88-W 27" for £469, and I'm wondering if this would be a better buy.

Ultimately, image quality is what matters the most - but the split screen options offered on the LG look interesting - I assume I'd be able to assign one input to one half and another to the other. This would help when working from home with my underpowered work laptop.

Connectivity, again - the LG is tempting with the USB-C connector. I have a 2017 Macbook Pro which uses USB-C however I have an external graphics card which connects via USB-C - and then from that it can connect the screen using DisplayPort.

The stands aren't a concern as it'll be on an arm, the Dell is a bit bezely - but so are my current monitors, so I'm quite used to that.

I guess what I'm asking, how does the Dell stack up to newer models from LG - and is there anything else I should be looking at in this price range.
