I'm going to get a 280 gpu this week,

But which one?
My maximum is £250

Which brand?
What to look for on the 280s

My psu is 600w

Pretty much that's it really
 
I would also recommend the Gigabyte card. I have one myself. Excellent customer services and fast RMA

If this is supposed to be MSI, I encourage everyone to stay away from that card. It had trouble with VRM overheating and throttling due to this with release bios. This was "fixed" by MSI with increasing the speed of the fans in the further bioses but still does not make the card a good option compared to the other 280X cards. Interestingly TwinFrozr IV cards usually are amongst the stellar performers in any particular model but MSI 280X Gaming Edition is one card to avoid. There are numerous reviews that support this and I would not go into detail to dig them right now.
 
I would back up that last comment, I hate my msi 280x, fans are loud over 30 percent, coil whines like crazy and is hot as. Want rid but can't justify upgrading to 290 at 1050p.
