Those are some pretty impressive scores from the 6990 (obviously, with the exception of the VRAM induced brick wall). Especially impressive when you consider how unrealistically tough a test it was for GPUs running 2GB each - I don't think anyone would expect to be able to max the AA while refreshing over 6 million pixels per frame!
Grid 2 was run at 8xMSAA, sorry forgot to mention.
Couldn't get Bioshock Infinite to run on my PC at the weekend, but a Windows re-install this evening seems to have fixed that. To be fair, I was starting to get enough weird little issues that a reinstall has been due for a while.
Bioshock Infinite
Ultra preset 5760x1080
Av 78.79 - lovely and smooth
Min 15.09 (during a scene change, lowest in a scene was 19.16)
Max 385.82
Sportbilly's
Ultra 6008x1080
Av 24.99 - stuttery and juddery
Min 2.73
Max 339.36
Glad you decided on the 290's mate, really looks like they should make a decent silly grin's worth of difference to your setup. Don't forget the pictures when you've got them installed (and of the 6990 before) - always good to get some PC gorgeousness on the forum.
