Well the gigabyte version is the only one currently in stock and having just looked there are 8 left.

Mine arrives tomorrow and there are some other users who have already posted about it including youtube video showing how quiet it is.

Very good rma service as well with gigabyte and i can vouch personally for that when i needed to return a motherboard last year. It ended up being not faulty and gigabyte never charged me. Top stuff.

Does the gigabyte version have a back plate? If it does I'll get that version. I am a msi frozr fan their coolers very quiet, but as long as the gigabyte card is in stock I shall place an order tomorrow

Get the cheapest 290 (not the 290X), as the difference is minimal.

The difference is minimal now, but it may have a wider gap in performance as 290X has higher number of shader units. Also, I think Gigabyte 290X is the only one available now with a custom cooler.

It would be nice to give us another review, thank you :)

I think I will buy the gigabyte version as long as its still in stock tomorrow, and yea I will give you a quick review and whatever game benchmarks I have, been waiting to buy a new graphics card for bf4.

2 more questions

do any of these coolers work perform better in crossfire then others temp wise?

also any news on the mantle patch for bf4?

Thanks. I will try and post some pics once I receive it :)

They have a custom cooler and is slightly overclocked. So other than those, crossfire features should be just as standard AFAIK.

Nothing in my knowledge about the mantle patch sorry. Although while watching an old movie "The Core", suddenly got aware of what Mantle is for our planet lol
