I'm going to be selling my old G.card (X850XT+VF900) and ram (1GB GSkill) on the MM soon and the funds will go towards buying a 2Gb of ram (My dad will buy a replacement G.Card if I get the grades) I should have around £150 and these are what I found:

- Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 (MY-079-CS) (£151.52 Including VAT at 17.5%)

-G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2 Dual Channel Kit (F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX) (MY-007-GS) (£146.82 Including VAT at 17.5%)

- Mushkin 2GB DDR HP3200 High Performance Dual Channel Kit (2x1GB) CAS2 (991434) (MY-005-MK) (£140.94 Including VAT at 17.5%)

- OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2 (OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K) (MY-057-OC) (£152.69 Including VAT at 17.5%)

The ram wont be overclocked but I would like the best performance at the cheapest price ideally. The Munckin seemed like the best deal to me as it had the same dual-channel, cas2, ddr400 as the rest but cheaper. Help is appriciated :)

Hi there

Get whatever is in stock is my advice. Were struggling like mad to source DDR memory now. G.Skill have stopped production of their performance parts and moving completely over to DDR2.

Struggling to get OCZ DDR1 parts as well, only manufacturer still producing DDR1 is Corsair at the moment but suspect they will cease the XMS parts within the next couple of months too.

So DDR1 prices will only start to increase now and I predict that in 3-6 months you will have to pay upto 50% more for DDR1 modules due to them be hard to get hold off and not been in large production any more.

Sheesh! They're stopping DDR production already? I really can't buy now as I have to wait for my grades to come (24Th August) so I know I'm deffinetly going to get a replacement G.Card. Thanks for the info Gibbo.

Judging by everything bar the Corsair being out of stock I guess it wont be coming back in?
