Which 2nd hand card?

I've got about £50 to spend. Current set up as sig and card must be AGP. PC used for online gaming Battlefield 2142, Americas Army and video editing. What would you suggest?

Maybe a x800xtpe saw one go for £50. Looked in the members market?

An X800series card (steer clear of the X800se though as it is a crippled version) or 6800series card is about as good as you will get for the budget I'd imagine.

Intending to buy from MM but not sure what to go for. Would need to be an appreciable improvement in gaming performance to make the change worthwhile!

If you're very lucky you may snag an x850xt but the x800xt's are very similar.

Performance wise i went from a HIS 9800pro 128mb card to an x850xt and the increase in performance was considerable. Farcry and Half life 2 ran super smooth between 1280x1024 (high settings) and 1600x1200 (medium to high) resolutions.

I'm fairly sure you wouldn't be disappointed!

id get the 6800GT

You should be able to clock it to Ultra speeds easily and its got shader model 3.0 suppourt (unlike X800 series).

BUT if you dont want the SM3.0 gt an X800 Pro and BIOS flash it to a X800XT PE

50 quid you can get a 7600GT for that...

I agree push your luck go for the 7600GT sure you will drop on one specialy when the r600 comes out and all prices start to drop again
