Hello. I’m moving from a 3080fe to a 3080ti. Paired with a 5600x. The following are the options that I have available. I also want to know if a 750w would suffice(NZXT C750).

Gpus available from highest to lowest price(Top to bottom):

Asus 3080ti rog strix
Msi 3080ti Suprimx
Asus 3080ti tuf oc
Galax 3080ti Hall of Fame
Zotac 3080ti Amp Holo

I’m looking to get the best card out of all these. I read that the Hall of Fame card is the best, but it’s advertised boost is lesser than the other cards that I’ve mentioned since it’s not the HOF premium or the HOF OC, it’s just the base HOF. Please let me know your thoughts as to which to get. I’d like to have a card that can beat the 3090, as I wanted a 3090 which doesn’t appear to be in stock anywhere. Thanks in advance.

You could just get a 3090 in the next drop from Nvidia, if that's the card you want, they normally stay in stock for a few hours. Get the telegram app, and you'll be sorted.

PSU should be fine.

They’re all fine cards; been looking at reviews over the last few days and my summary would be.

Asus 3080ti rog strix
Excellent card, but very expensive. Has high power limits, good cooling and other specs.

Msi 3080ti Suprimx
Also an excellent card, but more reasonably priced. Equally high power limits, great cooling but a tiny bit louder than it needs to be and MSI's dragon centre can be a bit of a pain to work with for RBG purposes.

Asus 3080ti tuf oc
I've currently got a 3070 TUF OC, and was so happy with it I got a 3080 TUF OC. By all accounts the Ti is also an excellent card: as well made as the very top-shelf cards above, with low temps, excellent cooling, good out of box speeds and overclockability. Has a slightly lower power limit IIRC, but still well above the FE cards.

Galax (KFA2) 3080ti Hall of Fame
Less info is available on these, but they seem incredibly well made and will likely O/C like a mofo, albeit you'll have to spend an hour doing it yourself. I'm unsure about the aesthetics of the card and that's the only thing holding me back from buying one.

Zotac 3080ti Amp Holo
Good card at a great price (relatively speaking). Looks quite nice given the green-purple 'holo' section becomes transparent when backlit. Also has good lighting and top O/C + RBG software which will happily save at least the RBG settings (not sure about OC) to the card, meaning you don't need to start the software with Windows. Slightly lower power limit settings than the others. All the Zotac Ti cards seem to perform about 2-3% below other Ti cards for some reason, even if they have the same power limit set and can hit the same clock speeds: the trick to fixing this seems to be undervolting the card.

Given the ridiculous prices right now, I'd probably go for the HOF if you like the look, or the AMP Holo otherwise (2-3% performance hit for £200 isn't too bad). If none of those appeal, the TUF OC is the best of the more expensive options.

You haven't put it on the list but avoid the Ventus 3X: the fans don't spin down to zero RPM, they get loud and afaik the power limits are below the FE cards, which will seriously hamper performance.

KFA2 3080Ti HOF EDITION @ £1290, one of the best 3080Ti on market and right now one of cheapest. :)

Hello. Thank you so much for this. I’ve narrowed it down to tuf oc and suprim based off what you’ve summarised.
Thank you once again.

Hello, but the base hof has a worse boost clock than the tuf oc. Only the hof premium and the oc editions are exceptional cards by the looks of it. And they are hella expensive too and not in stock.

I think this is related to what I was saying: the quality of the HOF is exceptional, so most of the overclocking potential will be there, you just need to unlock it yourself.

Admittedly there's still the fact that they won't be a highly binned chips, and there's always an element of chance, as Gibbo mentioned in another thread.

Is this an invitation thing? If so, may I please have one as I was looking 3080ti but now that you have said about 3090fe, it is indeed the only choice between 3080ti’s and a 3090 fe. I mean for £100 difference, it’s a no brainer.

Does the standard card overclocks actually make a difference? I mean I have the Gigyabyte OC and its like 50MHz faster..surely the only real difference starts when maunal user OCing comes into play?

So which country are you in?
