Hi All,

After two years of issues with my Gigabye RX5700XT I've decided to move to a 3080ti. However, there are so many to pick from and I'm out of the loop on what's the best bang for my buck, I'm hoping the OcUK collective can help.

I'm more interested in stability over the clocking potential. My overclocking days are long gone!

It will sit on a Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite with a 3700X CPU and 32GB RAM.

Thanks :)

I'd just say get the cheapest, with the caveat of making sure it has at least a three year warranty.

And you don't OC the 3 series these days, undervolting is the name of the game!

I have my 3080 Ti FE set to a curve of .9mv and a 1965Mhz clock, there is only a difference of a couple of FPS against the card at normal/overclocked when I tried it after I first got the card.

As we are only a few months away from the next generation of cards coming out then may be a bit better to hold on if possible as looking like we will be getting a nice uplift in performance over the current generation ... i imagine you will be able to pick up a 4080 for the price you will currently pay for a 3080ti and then there is the fact if you do hold out then the 3000 series will be dropping in price again i imagine :)

Thanks for the quick replies :)

I'll see what deals come up and weigh up waiting a little longer. Not sure how much more crashing I'll be able to take before pulling the trigger.

Either the 4000 series will astound us with quantity or price or you wont be able to buy it for love nor money. If reports are right 4090 is first then 4080 much later.

One things for certain there will be loads of 3xxx series floating around at tantalising prices.
