You really should remove the competitor links , it is not allowed on this forum.

There is no perfect monitor and you have to compromise in one area or another. I would say the best monitor for content consumption is the AW3423DW but you really should try and see one in the flesh before you buy. The gaming on it is great but using it as a desktop monitor can be a problem due to text fringing and you should see how your eyes perceive text on it before you buy.
Also there is another version , the DWF with Freesynch , that is cheaper but it has not made it to the UK yet and no idea if it ever will.

The others are a mix of IPS or VA so pick your poison and go for it.

I am hoping they release a high refresh 40" 5k2k OLED in the next 12 months and if they do I am getting one but nothing in that region been confirmed yet. There is a 45" 3440x1440 LG OLED panel so there will be monitors based around this in the new year but res seems little low to me and I will wait for reviews.

Thanks for the reply have removed links, saw on another thread the mention of a 42" LG oled called a c2 any good ?

have you seen the txt thing on the AW3423DW yourself ?

Yes the C2 is excellent for games and can double as a monitor. If you wanted one of those they were available for under £900 on Black Friday but more expensive now. Having missed Black friday you may as well take your time and see what is released in Q1 2023, this is when most monitors are showcased so you will know what is coming.

I am in the same boat as you and want a new monitor but I have dug my feet in and know that I want OLED so I am biased against the IPS and VA options. You may really like those other monitors but I know they are not for me.

Tim will be able to guide you far better than I can and at the end of the day it is personal needs and personal preference that will decide what is best for you.

You may want to watch a dedicated review of whichever you eventually decide to go for so you know all the quirks and best settings.
