I'm considering buying a 360 at some point this week or next. Being mostly a PC gamer, I've never had a go on one! There's a couple of options available, 360 Arcade, 360 and 360 Elite. Which one? As a gamer, do you really need the extra memory/features that come with the more expensive models or is the Arcade just fine?

Full game installs are coming soon, so I'd suggest getting the 60gb or 120gb hard drive versions.

It's what I'd do if I was buying new.

I'd probably go for the 60GB. You get everything you need for the best experience. The money you would have spent on an Elite can be used for games.

Thanks guys!

By full game installs, do you mean all games MUST be installed to the HD before playing?

Won't be a must, but DVD drives as standard spin very fast, and therefore generate noise, install the game...no noise!

Also it will help loading times & hopefully eliminate any 'texture popping'

60gig version it is then. Thanks guys!

No don't do it ;)

Buy the arcade for £119 or £129 with the force unleased which you can sell for £20 it will also include a memory unit which is very handy for backing up saves and profile moving etc.

Then buy the 120gb hard drive for anything from £58-89.

I dont think the 60 will cut it when you install a few of your favourite games.
