After a 1080p 37" panel. Unfortunately due to wall space avaliable this is the max size I can have, however as I'll be sat relatively close to it I would still like full 1080p support.

Budget is around £1500 but this also includes 2xHDMI cables, a DVI>HDMI cable, wall mount and a PS3 bundle.

I'm looking at the series 6 Sammy (SAMSUNG LE37A656A1FXXU). Any other suggestions?

What will you be using it for (e..g. 50% sky, 50% games) and how far will you be sitting from it. 1080p isn't that important unless using lots as a pc/htpc monitor and sitting within about 6ft from a 42 set, or about 5ft from a 37.

x2 HDMI cables will cost about a tenner and a hdmi->dvi will cost about £5-10 too, with PS3 bundle just below £300ish, then get the official remote as it is vital for controlling dvd upscaling and blu-rays with ease. About £320 for this lot max, then of course games and controllers etc separately.

For wall mounts search around on avforums as the advice over there is great, plus forum members get discounts at some of their assured advertisers on there. I say £50 max for a wallmount, so all in all over £1k for a tv.

You could get a 42inch panasonic PZ80 or even squeeze in a 50inch version but I think they are more around £1300. Please answer my first bit and will then be able to advise more.

I'll be having the PC hooked up to it a lot mate. I might even ditch my Dell 2407WFP but I'm not 100% sure I could live with such a large monitor on a daily basis!

Ok ok an LCD would probably be better for you. Also you don't need that much of a budget for a 37inch LCD, although I am not a fan of the way samsung design and support tvs check them out, also have look at the sony v4000 or w4000 in 40inch variety and they are good tvs. Panasonic LXD85 tv is pretty good but could be expensive. Paying over £600 for a 37 LCD is too much in my books, and better to save the money for a future plasma purchase rather than going all out now.

Beko ad daweo Lcd's/plasma's have come far leeps and bounds and at great prices, 37"£260 inc vat, you will not be disappointed.

No they haven't, I wouldn't even recommend them to stevie wonder, they are rubbish just like cheapy tvs in supermarkets. You pay for quality, and these have none.

what about matsui/decca got to be a punt, just kidding lol, no the lz 85 pan, or pioneer krv37 lcd is the best lcd screen at the moment for blacks but will set you back 1399.

Haha you joker... you.

Or if you want to forgo the PS3 or scrape together some additional funds, the pioneer 5080XD can be had for 1500 or 1600 inc stand, speakers and 5 yr warranty from the same place I got my pioneer from.

Go on it puts most other tvs to shame :p
