Which 3DS Zelda?

Hi all,

I've not played a Zelda game since the Link's Awakening on the original GameBoy, what would you guys recommend on the 3DS?

Choices seem to be:

  • Ocarina of Time
  • A Link Between Worlds
  • Majora's Mask

Obviously they all get amazing reviews but having not played any before where should I start?

I need something with a decent story and hopefully not too much filler/back-tracking as I have limited time.
 
If you haven't played OOT you need to now! I always think if you were to play MM before OOT then it might not be as good. Maybe as I found MM harder to play as OOT is a slower introduction to the system.
 
A Link Between Worlds looks great and I'd like to give it a try sometime but losing your rented items when you die seems an odd mechanic that would really frustrate me.

Ocarina it is then, very expensive though, if anyone finds a deal please let me know.

I'm loathed to go digital until Nintendo join the 21st century and tie my purchases to my account only and not the specific device.

A link between worlds is similar to the Super Nintendo version of Zelda
OoT was originally the first Nintendo 64 Zelda game
MM was the followup on the Nintendo 64 to OoT
 
I always loved the look of the SNES Zelda but I was in the Mega Drive camp at the time so I'll definitely try A Link Between Worlds at some point.

£40 quid for digital download from Nintendo is mental though, no way am I paying that.
