Hi,

I need to buy a 4870 (or GTX260) for a relative but I'm only taking into consideration the models without the power circuit flaw, are the non-reference cards the ones with non-reference coolers or isn't it as simple as that?

Does anybody have a 4870 model that doesn't suffer from it? if so which model is it?

The drivers corrected this issue if im correct in saying so.

But when i say corrected, all they did was limit the card when certai benchmarks run.

Toxic models aint reference and the sapphires ones generally aint.

Mine is'nt a reference card. Expertvision/Palit Sonic Dual Edition. Comes in 512mb/1Gb versions with a dual fan cooler and four outputs (2x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x Display port) on the rear bracket.

What bug anyway? Is this the Furmark thingy?

i'm pretty sure the dark knight aint but dont quote me on that.

It isn't non-reference you mean?

Awesome thanks.

Furmark is effected yeah it's some sort of protection mechanism that triggers if the GPU is used too efficiently, I'll be the one called with any problems so would rather get one that can handle anything thrown at it.
