I was looking at either the

or

I can't really go bigger than 32 on my desk so I think 27" is the sweet spot for me. Is there anything better out there? I guess my budget is up to £1,300 ~. I have a 3090 and want the best possible monitor for gaming etc so G-Sync and a high refresh rate is what I'm after.

Any out currently or any due to come out which are better than the above?

Thanks

I’ve got the LG 27GN950-B and for the price you can’t beat it. It’s only just come out released on 02/09/20. You’ll just have to wait for delivery of new stock.

Ok mate, good to see another good word about it! I guess I’ll keep my pre order :) thanks mate.

Here's review of that Asus:

So quite good and balanced monitor with good contrast for IPS and low input lag, though response time is behind first row.

LG again has had very good response times in "Nano IPS" panels, but contrast has been very mediocre in many of them. (like 800:1)
For some reason there aren't yet much any reviews of 27GN950-B...
Would have thought LG would be eager to get it into hands of reviewers to show their top level in features model.

This is about only review and contrast seems really good for IPS, so maybe LG finally managed to fix that mediocre contrast.

Though response time measurements aren't that thorough, but seems to be pretty near fastest IPSes.

You cant get decent 32” 4k atm (due in the next few months), LG seems to be a good option for 27” just the screen is a little small for that resolution.
Next few months, but of which year?
I mean even now standard 2560x1440 choise in 32" has been MIA for many years with delays after one another.
And for 3840x2160 long time ago teased or even announced models haven't materialized yet.

Myself having used 30" 2560x1600 soon seven years 3840x2160 would be only not downgrade monitor.
And while I certainly wouldn't want significant size decrease, looks like I might have to compromise on that and move monitor closer, if I want to update in some actually foreseeable time.

I went down from a 30” Dell U3014 to the 27” 27GN950-B, and yes immediately noticed the reduced screen size but now I’ve got used to it, it doesn’t seem so small anymore.
