Which 4k TV up to £850?

Hi

My in-law wants a new TV, he's rather impulsive and stubborn being 75 but he's seen an lg49lf640 in Argos and was going to buy it for £850 but I told him to hang on whilst I look at alternatives.

I'm dubious of the lg as I think it's an Argos specific model so basically what should he get? Does he need 4k? Nope but he wants it

Not really looked in to 4k TV's so unsure myself. No bigger than 50".

He seems to really like the lg so I've seen the LG 49UF770v in Costco for £880 with a blu ray player and they do 5 year warranty's too. Seems OK?

48" model can be had in John Lewis for that price.

Yer just read that review actually so I'm leaning more to the Sammy. He's got lg in his head for one reason or another, did I mention he was stubborn?

Going looking at the LG tomorrow and I'll try and find the Sammy somewhere.

The LG has local dimming where the Samsung doesn't. Bah just wish there were some reviews but it's so new.
