Hi guys.
I'm planning to buy new monitor to get ready for gtx1080 which will finally allow to play comfy in 4k so I need a monitor.
Currently I have cheap iiyama IPS panel 1080p 60hz 27 inches and really not complaining. But if I buy gtx 1080 it would be a waste not to upgrade my display.

So first of all I would like to have a g-sync and at least 27 inch but all of them have different refresh rate and are either TN or IPS and I really don't know advantages of those in gaming as opinions about that varies. I would like to spend at most 600 pounds.

Is there anything here for me or should I wait till it becomes more mainstream and prices drops??
Thanks.

You're definitely on the right track with G-sync that's for sure.
I have a Samsung PLS 27 inch and just bought an Acer Xb281hk which is TN and I'd be lying if I said there were no noticeable differences between them but I have to say the Acer is very very good for a TN.

For me three seem to be a lot of issues with the various IPS options out there be it bleed or glow or poor lighting uniformity, at least with TN you generally know what you're getting.

The Acer TN is a joy for gaming and you'd never know you were using a TN - unless of course you were to sit off centre from the monitor which you're rarely likely to do in a gaming session.

For desktop work or Web surfing you notice the gamma shift and slightly off colours but even then I only notice it when sitting side by side with my Samsung.

The Acer is great for gaming which is exactly what it was built for, if the other stuff doesn't worry you it's solid. I have a Macbook Pro if I want to do any colour intensive work (not that I do) but it's a useful sidekick.
