Hi guys,

I know in general all cards are reference but just wanted to confirm this with 5850 or is there a particular brand i should be looking for?

Have just ordered a VTX 5850 but could have had a gigabyte for about the same price. Did i make a mistake?

Cheers

Would it be worth me cancelling an order for my VTX and changing it to a gigabyte? I am in a rush to get the card after my 8800gtx died and i am backing up with uni work.

My VTX should arrive tomorrow but if they are really not well regarded i could switch and get the gigabyte just means waiting another day. Anyone have VTX hardware and can vouch for them? ;o

would have got sapphire but none in stock. Was just this and gigabyte but now also xfx available too. Seriously gutted now. No doubt a proper hassle to get the first returned n pace new order n means another day without my computer.

But for the sake of a day it could turn into a nightmare. This whole no frills motto, are corners cut on the card or purely bundle?

Has anyone actually dealt with VTX RMA yet?

I know they are owned by the same parent company as Power Color. But they might offer a vastly different RMA support for all I know.

I would suggest to stay clear of TUL owned company's (powercolor and VTX) they are a nightmare to deal with and in the end after three months of trying to RMA my card they told me to contact overclockers!!
