Hi guys, probably a pointless thread but i would like to know which brand / card is better to go for ?

I'm looking at the his version :

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-002-HS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1502

and the powercolour version : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-137-PC&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1502

The only difference i can see is the power colour has slightly higher clocks,
also comes with a free game.

But i saw ahwile back something about a blue pcb revision? looks as if the HIS has it but the powercolour has the red one.

Not looking to overclock, just would like a quiet card that will tear up some games ! Going from a 4850 res 1024x768 and sometimes 1920x1080

Are any of the manufactures any better for rma ect if it does go wrong ?

Thanks a lot

I would go the powercolor, reviews show it to have an exceptional cooler.
It is amazing what PowerColor managed to achieve with their cooling solution. The HD 5870 PCS+ is so much quieter than the AMD reference design. The card offers so much performance and is still whisper quiet in idle and barely audible under load. Personally I am very concerned with fan noise in my PC and after doing this testing I can't wait to ask PowerColor if they would let me keep their card for my work PC.

Hi, last week i bought the powercolour 5870 pcs+ one which you pasted from overclockers.

Absolutely fantastic card and really quiet even under load as the reviews claimed at the time when i was reading up.

I've got mine overclocked @ 930/1235 and its inaudible over my antec 1200 case with fans set to low even under load. I've been monitoring things on hwmonitor and It idles @ 42c and after hours in crysis warhead, it had gone to 63c max, on some other games with crazy high fps like left4dead 2 it went to about 66c. I'm not 100% sure what speed the fan is spinning but i've not heard it once yet at any point.

The card really is faultless and i'd highly recommend to anyone and £280 makes it one of the cheapest ones.

Thanks guys, just going to put it in the checkout now !

I left it abit long really, wouldnt of minded dirt2 instead of modernwarfare2 but its all good.

Thanks again. much appreciated.
