which 600w+ psu?

need a get a new psu tomorrow as mine is dying. Been looking at the Corsair HX 620w and the Corsair TX 750w. Unsure between the 2 really. I like the HX for its modular design but like the TX for the extra wattage and similar price.

Which psu should i go for or do you have any other recommendations?

I’ve got the Corsair HX 620W and it is supposed to be enough for SLI 8800GTX's so that would be my recommendation. Also it would be much more tidy in the case, as you mentioned with it being modular.

What's the difference between the HX and TX, is it just the modular cables?

Coolermaster modular 620W are pretty good and a bit cheaper than the Corsair. A HX620 powers my old rig nicely, but after reading reviews, I decided to try something new.
