Which 65" OLED?

I'm looking to replace my B7 with a new model for improved eARC to use with Sonos. I'm looking up to £2k but if as an example the OLED65CX5LB is up to the job at £1,667 then I'll get that. Also looking at the 65OLED805.

I don't care about apps, I use an Apple TV, but wouldn't mind a user friendly OS for accessing the settings menu to calibrate the TV.

I think I’m discounting the 65OLED805 due to no eARC or 2.1 support unless I’m mistaken?

Would you consider a Philips 65" 805? I've been considering the 55" version. But the 806 version is out very soon. It uses a LG panel with android Tv and decent sound.

No, it doesn't support eARC/HDMI 2.1

I've pretty much decided on the OLED65CX5LB, just a case of waiting until I move house and working out who to order it from.

I wouldn`t buy from anyone else than Richer Sounds. I`ve had issues with stuff in the past, and they handled it impeccably.

They specifically highlight that OLED image retention is not covered by their warranty. There are also a few threads on AV Forums where they appear to be difficult to deal with unless pushed. So I’ll be avoiding them.

I've for the c9 it's great TV with apps and media player however does have bit of black crush s I'd look at Panasonic

I am going to hold out a little longer before I get my 65inch OLED so I hope to get one of their newer models for a reasonable price.

Thanks for this, I think I will definitely wait out then and deal with the slight delay from Sky.

I think I’ll get the CX from John Lewis and get their Protect Plus which included burn in protection. Works out over £1k less than the C1 and from what I can tell there isn’t a huge difference in the panel.

Going away from the LG now as they still apparently have sound issues, now looking at the KD65A8 and TX65HZ1000B.

I have the CX & 2019 Panasonic oled tvs. For TV & movies Panasonic. Everything else LG.

This is the gist I'm getting from watching various YouTube videos and reading reviews. I'd say 70% of what we watch is Netflix/Sky/BD rips and the other 30% is me watching sport.
