It offers a 7 year warrenty. Corsair is a well known brand and seasotonic (i think that what the psu makes called) make some of their psu's. They ain't known to blow up, and the amps on the rails are spot on.

Had a Coolermaster Silent Pro Modular before, whilst playing Red Alert 3 the PSU blew up. Loud bang. Replaced now with a Corsair TX650 and has been superb, never let me down yet. No problems even running a new i7 spec which draws more power.

Also +1 get the modular version if you can. I wish I did (too many cables) worth the extra money!.

Out of those i'd definitely get the Corsair and i'm not just saying that because i've got one, its just simply better quality. However if your case has difficulty with cable management (luckily my lancool is fine with this) i'd be looking at the HX series.

Have a look at the new 90+ Gold Seasonic PSU's, awesome power and silent :D

I will be getting one in the next week or 2 to replace my 500W Antec Liberty.

Hi the 90+ Gold Seasonic PSU are £117 plus postage which makes it £120 as ocuk don't sell them this makes the a hugh £40 more and to much. I have read that the corsair psu are made by seasonic or are seasonic psu with there name on it.

I have just installed the corsair HX650 on my first ever build and it was the easiest thing to do, plus I have a bag with spare cables in it to add other components later. All the cables were long enough to help with cable management as well

Got a corsair 650, I've had some on different rigs. Inaudible, my noctuas are louder. Never let me down. You get what you pay for.

have both the corsair and the Antec signiture at home and the antec is a little quieter in my opinion both faultless so far

Age would fit to SmartPower or plain TruePower (also some TrueControl models) hich have plain craptacular time bomb Fuhjyyu capacitors.
(put there by CWT)

Original HX520/620 were Seasonics (S12E+/M12 platform).
CX400, VX450 and TX650 are Seasonics of varying platforms. (budget CX400 having some slightly cheaper and commonly used caps)
HX650 is also Seasonic.
VX550,TX750 and other high power models are made by CWT... who has fortunately gotten completely rid of habit of using those Fuhjyyus and has well performing high end units.
