which 650w psu

just got a seasonic x750 and it is fantastically quiet - fan doesn't start spinning until power draw is over 150w ish. In comparison my hx520 was much noisier, and that is itself a quiet psu.

Depending mostly on ambient, about 30C seems the limit where fan starts spinning under that kind load.

In cool ambient temperature that's decided by point when heat production of PSU itself is enough to start rising its temperature.
On the test bench with ambient room temperature at 23°C, the fan in the Seasonic X-650 started at about 340W load.

House leaking too much heat or why to consider such mediocre efficiency PSU?

so is the hx corsair the signature series ?, well its the hx corsair 650w or the seasonic 650w 90+ Gold mmm what to do as theres about £20 in it

Another vote for the Cosair, been using them for PSUs for the last few years and never had any issues. I also find them very quiet.

Hi all, I read this on a review site.

The Truepower New series uses a newer Seasonic platform than the HX650 and generates the minor rails through DC-DC conversion. It's better than the Seasonic-made HX series which are still using the older x900 platform (although they are still excellent PSUs). If you can't afford the HX750, the Truepower New would be the next best thing out of the options you listed.

So it seems the antec true power uses a better insides than the corsiar Hx series and the corsiar hx series uses a better insides than the same watts of the tx models.

I thought this as the hx is £25 more than the tx models and £25 could not be because it moduler.

So after Reading slot it seems the best goes like this

1 seasonic 650w gold
2 antec true power 650w (latest seasonic inside not gold)
3 corsair 650w hx (seasonic inside better version than the tx model)
4 corsair 650w tx (seasonic inside older version but still exellent)

I can not beleave all these psu are basicly different models of the seasonic, the seasoni psus must be the best going for all them companies to use them inside there psus.

So I think I am going to go for the seasonic gold or antec true power as these are the most silent and best built. What do u think ?
