I built a system about a year ago. Specs in my sig below.

I'm looking for a GPU to put in it. I know most people will advise me to buy AMD 7950 or similar, but I need CUDA support for some of the video edit/grading programs I use (DaVinci Resolve). So I'm stuck to nVidia.

Which of the many 660ti would you suggest? Best for cooling and mild overclock.

I would go for the MSI twin frozr power edition. Great cooling and probably the best for over clocking. For cuda, you are better off with the 5xx cards though guess you will also be gaming a lot.

Providing Rusty0611 will let me post in this thread, have you considered a HD 7950? :D

I jest.

I have a MSi 660Ti power edition and I am loving it. They are great cards if you game at 1080p or less.
Everything I have tried so far has run well, The Witcher 2, World of Tanks, Borderlands 2 (which is included as a free gift), Portal, Left4Dead 2, Skyrim.
If you game above 1080p you may want to consider the GTX 670

have a look at this if you haven't done so already:

+1 for the GTX580 for cuda and Quadro for GUI (2D). I would check system requirements that are current and your software version (google it)

The GTX6xx is (mostly) useless outside of games, whereas the GTX580 can do both Work and Games.

Great videos. That guy is hilarious!

Unless the software you uses supports NVEnc,you are probably better off with a GTX580.

However, the software appears to support OpenCL in the Mac version:

If the PC version supports OpenCL,the HD7950 will be a very good card to choose then, as it is meant to be quite fast with OpenCL.

Sadly the PC version is only compatible with nVidia cards - http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/4805318/Resolve_Win_Config_Guide_2012-08-30.pdf

Thanks for all the replies, you've given me plenty to think about.

To clarify, my PC is mostly for photo editing and (soon) gaming. At work I sometimes use DaVinci resolve on custom built Mac, but it would be useful to use it occasional at home too.

Looks like the MSI card is the favorite!
