Not sure if this has been asked here but I am looking to buy a new GTX 680 and was wondering if anyone could recommend one.
I was thinking of going with an EVGA one or the Palit Jetstream model.

I have decided against forking out an extra €100 for 4GB video RAM as I am only going to be gaming on a single monitor @ 1920*1080.

I have been looking through the EVGA models and there are loads to choose from. Some with slightly higher clocks and price.

Firstly, can anyone recommend a card and secondly, if I go EVGA, is it worth spending the extra for a model with higher clocks. i.e. FTW model over a reference card.

Thanks for your help.

Maybe you could consider a GTX 670 performance is only a few percent lower than a GTX 680 but price is almost £100 less.

As to individual brands there are plenty of people who know them better than me who will recommend a GTX 670.

I already have a EVGA reference 680 which is awsome (I got a good clocker) and I have an MSI Lightning coming tomorrow which I will obviously compare. The KFA2 is a great card but the connections would keep me from buying it.
The 670 is considerably cheaper and offers roughly 5-10% less performance, maybe this is an option?

Thanks for the replies. Was having a look around and think I like the look of the
EVGA GTX 680 SC Signature 2. Has factory overclock, is on of the cheapest
EVGA 680's and comes with a dual fan cooler.

A buddy of mine always buys EVGA and advised me to do the same based one the warranty alone.

Anybody got a signature 2?

Where is this report of the new drivers increasing 680 performance? IIRC the 670 simply has one less SMX unit?

The gtx 685 being released now is a stupid idea on nvidias part, theyre still selling loads of cards and its not needed.

P.s. Gigabyte windforce 670!

An OCUK employee corrected me and said we can expect a new nvidia card in april next year.

Am thinking either the MSI Lightning or the EVGA Signature 2.
Gonna order soon so might just make a last minute decision.

Is the lightning meant to be reliable? What is the warranty like on it?

Might go for it. Was adamant I was gonna get EVGA this time but am tempted by the MSI.

Decided to go for the MSI Lightning! Read some great reviews on it so decided to spend the cash!
Hopefully shipping won't be too long as I sold my old 6970 already.
Thanks for all the help.
Much appreciated.
