Hi guys, looking for some input for my z87 build, im about to order sometime this week.
I'm going for a 4770k paired with the Asus Sabertooth and some red Corsair Vengeance ram. I'm totally not sure which GTX 780 to go for and which waterblock (first time watercooling) can you be of some assistance and help me pair the two together ;)

EVGA give the best warranty when it cmes to fitting your own blocks, but all 780's are basically the same barring he cooler, so just get a reference one

waterblock wise, they all give the same performance so just go with the one you lke the look of :)

OCUK sell them with the block already fitted : HERE

Takes the hassle out of fitting your own blocks. As mentioned block differences are mainly aesthetics. I have the XSPC Razor blocks and *Ahem Titan backplates on mine....... :p

Thank you Alz. I was trying to save a little money by doing it myself. I've looked at some videos at it seems pretty easy. How do I know if a card is reference or not? I'm looking at the EK Water Blocks but need to make sure its all compatible.

How did you get on with the Titan backplates, the GTX 780 does not have vram on the back of the PCB, did this cause any problems.

as far as I'm aware, all 780's are currently reference boards

you check on coolingconfigurator

EK are a fine choice

Thank you so much for the help. I didn't know about coolingconfigurator its very helpful site :)
Now to order my parts at the end of the week (just wish corsair 900d would hurry up now)

The Corsiar 900D is a beautiful case, I really wanted one but in the end could not wait.:)

Titan backplates went on no problems at all. And from the outside with my overclock you'd never know the difference (yeah I wish ha ha :D ).

The EK blocks are a good choice - I had EK blocks on my 7950's with no problems at all. Just need to clean the blocks before I launch them for sale.

Snap, I do like the way the XSPC blocks look.

Have you thought about some red PCI-E cable extensions.

I hit my maximum spend this month ha ha ha but yeah still deciding if I love the case enough first. Thought I would as always wanted the 800D but having seen the 900D it could be the quickest case hop ever - only had it built a few weeks

I think I would benefit from the added radiator options as I am tempted at some point to add another 780 - And then leave it alone for the foreseable future..... must resist...... shiny stuff..... :p

You get good scaling on three GPUs in a lot of stuff and that 900D is beautiful.:D:p:)
