which 780

would say none of the 780s, grab the 290 for £310 and if the noise/temps are too much for you grab custom cooler/water block with the difference, better performance for about the same price ;)

Adding the extra cost for a 290 aftermarket cooler jacks the price up to to the same price as a GTX780
Then there all the hassle of changing the cooler and risking damaging the card and loosing the warranty and you no get the 3 free games..
Plus there no extra performance when both GPU's are clocked at same speeds..

So why would anyone want to pick a 290 over a GTX 780

Seriously? Just 'grab' a water cooled setup?

Once the 290s with aftermarket coolers come in I suspect they will be the best card on the market, until that point very few people would want the hassle of applying an aftermarket cooler themselves compared to just buying a 780.

just a quick qn what 780 is the best purchase. My freind was going to get the windforce but reading in cooments people having problems with them. What do you pros recomend

MSI Gaming edition :)

He asked "which 780"
Stop trolling and trying to derail this into another AMD vs Nvidia thread

Evga, I bought a gtx 780 sc ref cooler because I got the over clock without dumping hot air back in my case. Also I love the look of the reference cooler as it's the same as Titan and lights up. Another reason I recommend evga is that they're allowing me to return my card as it was purchased within the last 90 days and give me a reference 780 Ti for only €12 shipping (plus the cost of sending the old one back of course).

Can't ask for better than that in terms of customer service. Had no idea the 780 Ti would come out so fast so complete luck that I had actually bought from a manufacturer that has customer service so great they'll let me return. With apple it's two weeks but with evga it's 90 days.

What position in queue are you?

Haha! How gutted would we be if evga didn't let us return our cards eh! I enjoyed a nice 2 month use of this card. I think I might actually treat myself to a g-synch monitor when they come out to celebrate still owning the worlds powerful graphics card :-D
