Which 7850 is better?

well on paper the msi is faster but that is pre overclocked. so some would argue that the saphire when overclocked will be simillar.

personally i would go with the msi one, prefer msi, always have done. also msi has 1 year more warranty and is cheaper.

pretty much the same really,depends whether you get a good clocking card or not

forgot to add msi=3year warranty,sapphire=2year warranty,it was enough to swing me toward an msi card

I have been thinking about the MSI myself, mainly because its slightly cheaper here at OC. Although I wouldn't mind paying the extra £20 for the Sapphire if it was considerably better.

I added in the links to the two exact cards, can you tell me based on the numbers if any out performs the other on paper?

why pay more for a card with one year less warranty? plus the sapphire is clocked lower than the msi out of the box,all 7850's are the same,some clock better than others but nearly all should max ccc oc limits for example 1050 mhz core and 1450mhz memory

you have 14 days to return if you get a poor clocker

So I should buy the MSI and increase the core clock to 1050 and memory to 1450?

How would I tell if I got a bad clocker?
 
id go for the msi out of those two,its cheaper and has more warranty,its only if you push past ccc oc limits,and for that you have to add extra gpu voltage,you can also load gpu-z and right click it and click asic quality,anything over 75% is a decent card,decent in not needing much voltage to oc past 1050/1450,ive got the msi card and run 1050/1440 on stock voltage,havnt felt the need to push it further
