Hey guys,

Lets gets straight into it, im in the process of upgrading my system.

I've pretty much decided on all parts but one still confuses me and thats the g-card.

Im only intrested in an AMD 7950 (boost) but which one?

Almost been close to buying this:

But as ive read around a lot of people seem to recommend:

With the new TriXX released, apparently the voltage being locked is no longer a problem on the sapphire and i am looking to overclock. Price comparison doesnt matter im just after the best performance.

So finally, which 7950 boost to get and why, and if any other suggestions that would be great too.

I wouldn't buy a VaporX to overclock it, I'd buy it for the quiet cooler.

If I was gonna overclock the GPU I'd prolly buy the Windforce because it's cheaper.

It's actually A LOT cheaper atm being on offer, so I'd possibly buy it regardless. But I'm a bit of a VaporX fanboy.

Get the windforce yeah! Whatever you choose just don't be a chump and get the MSI twin frozr like me, the fan seems to be awful on a lot of them.

The price difference at the moment make the windforce definately desirable, but just wondering, its core clock stands at 900mhz, while the sapphires at 950 mhz (in boost). Does this in turn mean the sapphire has better headroom for overclocking? or is this all really irrelevant.

If it makes you feel better the latest windforces come with 1000 core out of the box :)

Haha, well the majority seem to prefer the windforce, seems like it is the one im probably going for.

Never used a Gigabyte product before, so would be a first for me. ASUS mobo's all the way, so lets see what their g-cards are like then :)

Finally, just out of pure curiosity, does it come with a HDMI cable? :P

Hehe well I got mine around mid February I think or around then and it came with the 1000 core bios. Regarding the hdmi cable I didn't get one with the card.

But yes go with the windforce I took back my msi tf3 for the windforce and it's very quite and the cooler is superb. You won't be disappointed :)

Unfortunately, graphics cards don't come with cables like that, although you can pick them up very cheaply now (I bought two for £1 each and they work perfectly fine).

Thats not entirely true, can watch many different unboxing videos on youtube and can see that they are indeed supplied with HDMI cables, hence why i asked :) not sure of the rules so not going to link a video. :p
