Which 7950 performs the best?

Aren't they all going to perform the same at stock? Go for the 7950 with the highest clock speeds, unsure about the 7950's in particular but as you may know with there 7970's theres a variance of clock speeds.

Performance is more related to the coolers that are stuck on them. I own a MSI cooled version which runs great, I rarely hit above 59 c on my 7950. So overclocking potential there, especially as my case has very poor airflow :D

A lot of people though will maybe suggest the gigabyte version. I think either are great cards, I went for the MSI one at the time as it had 6 free games. It has performed better than I could have wanted though :)

At stock, they'll all perform the same. The thing you need to look for is CS of the brand and the cooler that's stuck on them.

Best CS:
MSI
Gigabyte

Best coolers:
Twin Frozr
Windforce
Direct CU
IceQ (possibly)

My opinion^^

that's what I was thinking of mainly, thanks guys

I'd say any really, but the Sapphire, MSI, and Gigabyte ones are usually particularly good, especially with 2-3 fan coolers. The only trouble with some of the recent editions (which includes the 7970) is the voltage restrictions when overclocking, or so I've heard.

I just ordered the Asus as it's on special, I've always liked Asus and it will go with the motherboard! it's also nice overclocked to 900mhz.

I just noticed the size of this thing though and panic'd as i didn't think it would fit but now i see these are version 2's which is a slightly shorty and not quite as tall version so should just squeeze in! (Lian-li PC60)

edit: looking though the OcUK info needs updating but i can't be sure until mine arrives but the pics are wrong on there site for the V2 and also i was pleased to see 2 x DVI slots which i also prefer.

Also the warranty is 3 years on the Asus (i've had 2 Saphire ATI card's fail but they happily replaced both)
