Hi.
I am looking at getting a 7970 with the intention of Tri Firing with the 7990 once released. (I did the same with the 6970 & 6990 and it works well).
I have noticed that a couple of manuf. have already modded the reference fans to provide better cooling and noise reduction, namely XFX in the 7970 Double Dissapation edition and VTX 3D 7970 X Edition.

VTX3D review here
Given my intended purpose is to Tri Fire, the additional speed the above cards provides would not be required as the setup lowers the clocks to the lowest clocks of the setup (going by past experience, with the 7990 it will be clocked at 2x7950's).
Now here is the punchline, Arctic Cooling have released an Acelero 7970 Acelero review here
I used their 6990 version and it was superb. A number of independant reviews fot the 7970 edition has said it is the top of the pile.
So should I buy the cheapest reference edition of the 7970 and then the Acelero or should I go for one of the pre-cooler upgraded editions?
Thanks.
