Hi Guys,

Im looking for the a decent wireless N router, ive always had Dlink products and have been pleased with them except for the last 2 we've had, they've been locking up on us a few times.

However saying that im again looking at a D-Link, the DSL-2740B to be exact, has anyone had any experience with this router? Oppinions?

Jas

Only routers i ever recommend to clients these days are Netgear
main reason is just about all IP's support them, also dlink, belkin and a few others ive had nothing but problems.

Linksys I use to like a lot too, as you could firmware upgrade to tomato, but atm Netgear get my vote everytime.

Yer ive also been a fan of Netgear but we tried there DG834N and had nothing but problems with it... I think its a bit of pot luck now a days!

I'm having no problems, now, with my Netgear DG834N. Speed and connectivity are good and the only problems that I have had are with the USB adapter that came bundled with it. I would give it a cautious recommendation.

One thing as i said before, when you need to talk to a IP about a problem, when asked what router and you say anything but a netgear (90% of the time) and they will say we dont support that router.. so that alone makes it worth while :).
