get the cheapest one, most come with 2 or 3 year warranty now and thats plenty. also you want the warranty to be with the retailer and to the manufacturer. if its with the manufactuer things can get long in a returs process, with the retailer you send a dodgey card to they then ship a new one out to you.

the warranty is always with the manufacturer. its only with the retailer for 28 days after that if you take it back to the shop you have to wait for the card to be sent back from the manufacturer.

i know, im head of returns for the computer shop i work for.

odd that, iv bought cards before, and the warranty has always been with the retailer, but it depends on the retailer though i guess. i always ask first before i purchase since i hate having to deal with manufacturers after hearing all the xfx stories on here and the delays in general.

we sell all brands of cards and any card sent back after 28 days will be repaired by the manufacturer so if a retailer swaps it for you they are idiots as they will lose money.

but guess that is good for the customer, if i was you i would keep buying from them.

and even when you go back to the shop you bought it from the warranty is still with the manufacturer even when the shop will deal with it.

yea, but they only say the first year is with them so on 3 year warranty items first year is with shop and remaining 2 years is direct with manufactuer.

im always iffy of shops who don;t provide the first year warranty with themselves. lots of hunting around is required though.
