Guys I'm going for a new 8800GTS and want the 640 version so are the OC versions (BFG) worth the extra over the others e.g. OCUK (apart from the "Lifetime" warranty)?? Presume I can just OC the standard cards upto the OC speeds??
Cheers

The best brand is EVGA as their warranty covers overclocking and replacing the cooler, whereas no other brand offer such cover to my knowledge. I would put BFG in solid second place for their lifetime warranty and amazing customer service.

As for the question of what you get with OC models, that means they come pre-overclocked at those speeds. :)

Not by what in this review of a EVGA 8800 card http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=4216&s=16

"Take note you people who love third party cooling that you may need to void the warranty to remove the heatsink at the back, as you can see a warranty sticker pasted over one of the screws."

If your not that bothered about the warranty's as mentioned above, then just buy the cheapest and overclock it yourself, all GTS's will overclock, and will easily surpass the OC versions speeds, so if you wanna save a few quid its the way to go. :)

one other thing to mention - I'll be water cooling it...currently w/c my 7800gtx so will just fit the existing block onto the card with the aid of the adapter...

The OcUK version is very good. It's not a crappy make either, it's Point of View so it's good quality, and I've overclocked mine to 620/1002 on air cooling standard HS :)

Might just be for the ACS model, because EVGA state somewhere on their site that they cover third party cooling so long as the original is put back on before RMA and that they cover overclocking.
