Hi people

I am looking for some advice of which card to upgrade to, my spec of my computer atm is

socket 939 AMD 4800+ X2
Asus A8n32-sli deluxe
Audigy 2
7900gtx 512mb
2gb ram
thermaltake Tsunami Dream

Now I wanted to upgrade my card but which one?

The 8800 gts 640 or wait a while and save some more for the GTX?

Or would the gtx be slightly bottle necked by my processor?

at the moment I am looking at the BFG 8800 GTS oc 640mb?

what would everyone else recomend? I know that the gtx will be a tight squeeze in my case as well :/

Best thing to do, well I'm going to do this.

Is wait for this ATI R600 to come out (15th May I think) and see if it will effect any price drops on the 8800 range.

Depending what res your going to be using a 8800 gts 320mb may be a better buy.

Don't think its worth upgrading graphics card until Ati play there hand.

Under normal circumstances I'd advise anyone against waiting for hardware to be released.

1) Availability can still be an issue after release date.
2) New gear could be crap or expensive (no one knows yet!)
3) Usually a few bugs to work out of hardware/drivers just released
4) No such thing as a future proof PC, so don't bother trying :p
5) Other things we don't know about

However in your case you might as well wait - it's only 10 days till R600 and the weather's good outside ;)

I just recently got a samsung 226bw 22" monitor at its native res.

This is why I was after a bit more umph under the bonnet so to say :)
