buying the following:

Corsair VX 450 PSU
Arctic Freezer 7 Pro
Asus P5N-E SLI 650i
Intel Dual Core E5200
Geil (2x1GB) 6400 RAM
Samsung 22x DVD-Writer
3 X 640GB SATA-II HDs

I see that not all 8800gt cards are equal eg some have faster gpu/memory speeds and amounts of memory. is it worth spending that extra £15 or should I just buy the cheapest? would like one thats not too loud, will run currents games at an acceptable level and is a good F@H cruncher - any ideas?

I've just had an issue with a 9800gt(8800gt would do the same) and a p5n-e mobo where it wouldnt power up & beeped to say a gfx card fault. The card was replacing an older 8800gts series card, the 9800gt would not startup but an 8800gts 640 would so I'd get the latest bios 1201 first. On *** subject of the new card I'd get this one.

cheaper and better than the generic 8800gt, dont get a 9800gt as its basically a 9800gt renamed and more expensive :)
