The post above from Tute is really helpful for me because the benchmarks include the X1950 Pro which is the card I have right now. Its interesting to see how it compares to the 8800GTS.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. What is the guys question? what is the best card to run at 1280x1024? Honestly did he not ask that? well you showed him what resolution yes exactly, 1960*1200 now the 320mb GTS is fine at 1280x1024 and is the same speed as the 640 so that benchmark isnt relevent to the question!
Id save the cash get the 320 then add it to something else I mean if you really want the 640 go for it though
