Im new to OCing so forgive me for any lack of knowledge.

I have narrowed my search down to 2 kits of 4x8gb Ram for my 3900x on the x570 Aorus Master but i'm open to other suggestions.

First Kit is the Team Group 8Pack Xtreem Edition 4000mhz cl18 4x8gb
Second Kit is the Team Group 8Pack Xtreem Edition 3600mhz cl16 4x8gb
There was also a kit from G.Skill, 3200mhz cl14 16x2gb however the price has recently gone up. Model Number is F4-3200C14D-32GTZR for that.

I am aware of the 4400mhz CL19 Patriot VS however I don't like the design as much and I have also seen a few people say the heat spreaders fell off (I know it may not be common but I would rather not take the chance). I have the 8Pack 3600 cl16 kit in front of me from a second build my father is making and Im very impressed by the quality of the heat spreaders.

I am hoping to achieve either 3800mhz CL16 with FCLK of 1900 if I get lucky or 3600mhz CL14 if i don't. I have heard there is not a huge amount of difference between the two so Id be more than happy with either.

Any suggestions on what kit would be best for me?

I've got the 8Pack 4133MHz C18 2x8GB kit and it easily does 3800MHZ C16 with 1900 IF. I just use the dram calculator and input the timing values, boost the voltage a bit and it's done.

Obviously you may have more trouble with 4 x 8GB so I can't really advise you but just thought I'd share.

Yes look at the 8 Pack Xtreem kits in 4000/4133 as they use higher binned IC so better chance of 3800C16 in AMD 1:1
Cheers, I ended up going with the 4000mhz Memory. My father got the 3600mhz kit and I was impressed with the quality of the heat spreader. The ram weighs a tonne but in a reassuring way.

Thanks for the information. I have read that 3rd Gen ryzen doesn't have as much trouble running 4 sticks as 1st or 2nd gen so fingers crossed, we will find out soon enough!

I got the Team Group 8Pack Xtreem Edition 3600mhz cl16 4x8gb and it runs 3800mhz CL16 without an issue but can't get my FCLK to 1900, going back to 3600/1800 and try lower timings.

From what I have read, you should be able to get down to cl14 on 3600. at that point, there really isnt a huge difference in 3800 cl16 vs 3600 cl14.

I was able to, but aida stress test crashes within seconds, same with p95, using ryzen calculator ofc. I feel like I'm missing something important but idk what, also the aorus master bios is a mess in finding the settings.... Going to dig for more information and see. Another memtest done with ram @ stock and FCLK @ 1800

Correct. My 3200 cl14 kit isn't stable at 3800 cl16 with 1900IF - so I settled on 3600 cl14 1800IF. Did some tests and returned 66ns latency and 57GB/s bandwidth - which pretty much matches the performance of 3800 CL16 with 1900IF.

So don't be stressed if your ryzen can't handle 1900IF, you can't need more than 1800IF - if you can get the timings tight enough.

Try 3733 C16 and 1866IF as I get a better latancy on that, might work for you also. Though that could be due to my OC.

Anybody here that has OC the IF done any bench to see if it is worth the while? I thought the 3200 was the best in terms of latency, throughput.

What’s the 3200 cl14 latency and throughput at stock?

Also have you tuned the sub timings? And tested it again?
