Really cant decide which 970 to get for best. Got a blue H440 with blue/black mobo. With a silver and blue mx100 SSD on display on top of PSU enclosure. And obviously the NZXT logo lights up white.

So want something that fits in with this colour scheme, also don't want a card that is really loud. Quieter the better I guess. Can anyone recommend one? Would a HOF be out of place? Is it loud etc? Don't even know how big it is??

Gigabyte G1 is too big also. So my other immediate thought was Asus Strix.

I would LOVE a reference card more than anything but cannot stand that awful green writing.

Help me please. Want to order today.

The 970 HOF is a gorgeous card, and I can't hear it in my case at all. (C70) whether it was worth the £319.99 I paid, I can't really say since it's the first new card I've had since my GTX460.

I guess what with it being white and silver it ought to fit in anywhere, and it performs brilliantly, so it's up to you really. Ideally though, I'd hang on and see if prices drop next week with the weekly deals. The 970s just went back up in price since the deals ended so you might have missed out for a while.

Please check the length of these 290's before purchase. I know the H440 can have a large card if you remove hard drive bays but if you are using them then you can't. The 970's are good solid cards at 1080p. The reference card is definitely great looking. Colour the writing in blue :p

Is the HOF worth the extra? It looks amazing.

How about the Infinity Black Edition?

The HOF runs so good. It really does. Very quiet and more than powerful enough for me. I love the design and I reckon it's got the nicest backplate out of any of the cards out there. No coilwhine that I've noticed either, which is always a bonus.

Worth £320 or not, as I said, I don't really know. At the end of the day, if you've got the money to spend on it, you likely won't be disappointed. If you're spending £300, what's an extra £20? :p

And they look soooo good. £20 isn't much when you're budgeting for £300... I was wondering if there's a near £50 difference between the Infinity Black and the HOF though...

Probably not. I'm pretty sure the HOF is one of the fastest 970s out of the box, so you can't go wrong with it, but I doubt it's got £50 worth of extra performance.

It was worth the extra to me, but I reckon I'd probably have been more than happy with any of their offerings. I just wanted that specific card so I stretched for it. I'd have the 980, but at £575 it's way too expensive.

Infinity black.

Lower stock clocks than a HOF and more understated looks but uses the 980 pcb and is the only 970 to really try to curb coil whine
