Which ' active' speakers ?

No room for 5.1 or amplifier, so a decent stereo set up.

Need to have a front headphone connection.

Narrowed down to these 3, but please feel free to add a suggestion.

M-AUDIO STUDIOPHILE AV 30 - £90

Behringer MS20 Active Stereo Nearfield Monitors - £85

Creative Gigaworks T40 Series II - £90


( Soundcard - Auzentech Bravura )

Budget £100 max.

Hmm I picked up the av 40 not the av 30 for about 72 squid last year and they are excellent speakers. Unfortunately they seem to have almost doubled in price from a quick google search.

Scary really I have no idea why either.

AV40's can be had for £91. They are a much better buy than the T40's. A bigger driver is better than using 2 smaller ones. Read a review of the Av40's sometime ago, the T40's used as a comparison, amongst others, the T40's were thoroughly beaten for sound quality.
