Which Adaptor do I need for 3 monitor set up (eyeinfinty)?

Hi,

Looking for some help pls. I currently have this graphics card and I am hoping to get 3 of these monitors and set up a multi monitor eyeinfinity system.

I believe that i can connect 2 of the monitors directly into the card but I require an adaptor for the third, something about an display port adaptor? However I am unsure which adaptor I actually need?
Could someone point me in the right direction, or even suggest what it is that I actually need pls?

You need an active mini DisplayPort to VGA or single link DVI adapter (preferably DVI).

I can't link you to an adapter as that would be breaking forum rules.

There's a list of approved adapters here and remember you need an active one.

FYI a single HD 6950 may struggle to play some of the more demanding games across 3 screens.

I doubt the monitors come supplied with DVI cables so you'll also need 3 DVI-D cables like this:

I just realised that I never replied nor thanked you for this info, which was exactly what I needed. No idea why I didn't reply, can only assume it was the madness of the festive season but my apologies for taking so long and thank you again for your help.

Yeah all set up and enjoying the effect thanks :) Stilll have to do a bit of tweaking, but very happy with the result. Thanks again for all your help mate :)

@matt1 - afraid my digital camera isnt working...well the one on my phone anyway :rolleyes: so I wont manage the pic, sorry (on the bright side it will save me spending 5 weeks clearing up the desk that they sit on first :p)
