Which AGP Card?

Given that I have a shuttle SN95G5 (which basically excludes swapping to PCI-E for at least a year), my current 6800GT has died and I have "finally" gotten a refund from the place to get a replacement.

To keep things simple it's prob best to keep to another nvidia card, which narrows it to really one of the 7800GS cards.

Would the Gainward BLISS card fit/run in the shuttle (no case mods), or would I be best saving the cash, and getting a XFX or BFG card (which make is better)?

Cheers

The Gainward Blidd 512MB 7800GS? Yes I'd think it'd fit a shuttle, providing you have one PCI Port under the AGP slot clear, becauseit's take up that space too. Shouldn't be no reason why it wouldn't fit. I don't know the exact measurements of it either lol.

Seems it is dual slot - which is a shame, as the G5 has the AGP / PCI slots the wrong way round...

So out of the other brands BFG / XFX which is more reliable?

Yeah it's duel slot, ah well.

Out of the BFG and XFX, the XFX performs better, but the BFG is better built, that's my opinion from reading user reviews and such. If anyone thinks different then please post. :p

Given that I have spent 4-5 months ( yes you read that right ) getting a refund on a Asus V9999, I want something that will last (as I don't intend to ever buy an AGP card again), so fast and reliable is the key.

Was thinking about the XFX Extreme thingy

The XFX Extreme 7800GS? Yeah that should give you a performance gain over your current card. What does your system consist of, it may be better for you to go PCI-E then....

Shuttle SN95G5,
AMD 3500
1 Gig Patriot
Currently an old old AGP ( as the V9999 has been away for so long)

Basically selling swapping the shuttle really isnt worth it until AM2 in about a year ( when everything settles down) so PCI-E isnt an option
