Hello
Currently running an i7 3770k with an Asus Maximus v Extreme in a Corsair 750D case . Not overclocked yet.
My Corsair H105 isn't really performing as well as I hoped and after a year I have decided to change it , my choices are the Kraken X61 by NZXT , The Corsair H110i GTX or the Swiftech H240x . Which of these three would you choose and why ?
Thank you .

Why isn't the AIO performing as you hoped for? What temps are you getting?

Hi
Temps are around 36 idle and up to 80 on stock with stess test . Have tried reseating but hasn't made a difference at all , no matter what paste used either
Under stress I'm looking for 72 max but H105 doesn't cut it .

Perhaps it's got an exceptionally poor TIM job under the IHS and nothing but a delid and some liquid ultra will sort it?

Or you might just have a dodgy cooler...

The rad is at the top of the 750D case , so has plenty of airfow , I had a small thermaltake water 2.0 pro before which did better than this corsair , the H105 pump is quite quiet but working .
The Maximus v Extreme has pushed up temps since I had it ,more than my old gigabyte z77x-d3h board , by about 8 degrees , it auto sets my cpu to 3900 because my ram is 2400 mhz rated gskill trident using xmp . That might be why the maximus runs slightly hotter...
Everything else seems fine and runs fine gaming etc , just stress testing makes it cook !
Thanks all

If you are Auto over clocking on that board, you might be over volting in stress tests.

To get a like for like test you need to set it exactly the same as the old board, this will allow you to compare the coolers.

Problem is at the moment you don't really have a baseline to compare the two :)

I had a 3770k a while back and my h100i would let it do 5.1ghz at 1.53v at 92c while under stress. At a reasonable 4.5ghz it ran to high 40s while gaming and about 60-70c under stress. Something isn't right, either cooler not seated correctly. Poor cooler or bad paste.

TIM on them isn't that bad.

Make sure you use rogbench or aida64 not prime95 that can cook any cpu on low settings.

And as specified make sure it doesn't have auto overclocking as that will overvolt than what it actually needs. To be sure run cpu-z and that will tell you your cpu speed to check its at stock.

Thanks for all your help , problem I have is that wen I enable xmp on the maximus v extreme it auto clocks the cpu as well ! It's stepped I think , sometimes its at 1600mhz but rises to 3900 mhz during stress .
I could try just setting the RAM frequency manually without xmp .
I also changed the stock fans for very quiet powerful fans , I can't recall the name but they are grey and they don't make them anymore .

Realbench result .. 15 minute stress test . What do you all think .... Should I just forget about the temps now and game on ? Thank you .
