Which AM4 x470 motherboard?

I have the gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING motherboard and I am pretty content with it. Yes, it is pretty limited on overclocking features. I was able to find a stable all core overclock on my Ryzen 7 2700x at 4.275 GHZ stable. The VRMs are pretty weak and get super hot, over 105C, in prime 95 after about 15 minutes. It isn't a case airflow issue. I would love to step up in motherboard but can't really justify spending $200 or more. Later today I will probably work on fine tuning the VCORE voltage as I currently have it at an offset of +.208 or whatever the max setting is.

Would you be so kind has to help me set my motherboard, to the settings you have used to get 4.275 ghz in the bios please? Ihave a 2700x and the same motherboard.

I had great success with my team dark pro 3200 ram, it wouldnt ever run at 3200, but at 3000 i have the timings on 12,12,12,32,46 which i think is pretty darn sexy.
 
All I did was start with the multiplier until I needed more voltage. Kept bumping it up by .5 and stability testing with prime 95. That is with a vcore offset of +.208, or whatever the max setting is. Still need to back off the offset and find a stable voltage that is just enough. BCLK is at auto or 100 mhz. Multiplier is 42.75. Memory is set to the standard XMP profile. So far, this has been a very stable over clock.

Understood, im just sick of using the ryzen master everytime i restart, why on earth on a £200 motherboard they removed the vcore setting is beyond my comprehension.
 
There are probably other interesting options using the voltage offsets and precision boost over clocking. I just prefer a more reliable clock multiplier based over clock.

True that, but I have a £38 1150 intel motherboard here that has vcore settings in the bios, so i find no excuse for it, anything you can help me with in the bios would be appreciated
 
The VCORE offset is the first option in the voltage settings menu. Just set that to its highest setting. Then, probably start with something light like a BCLK of 100.00 and a multiplier of 41. Then keep going up until you can't. Hope that helps.
