and a soon to be replaced ti4200 graphics card original 8x agp beasty

which amd chip and why
budget can be swayed but its got to give that tesco value feel you know all the quality and as cheap as possible because of it :)

id wait for the price drops AMD are going to do.

Single core id go 4000SD

dual 3800x2 is best for overclocking value and should be dirt cheap

4gb of ram?? well im not sure why you want/need that you wont be able to run 1t timing. But then all you pay is football manager ? lol well whatever:)

For Football Manager just get 2gb - it's easily enough. Make sure you get an X2 though if at all possible - FM really likes 2 cores, obviously the faster the better, but the 3800 isn't exactly a slouch.

Well you don't really need 4Gb. 2Gb is ample for the average high spec system at the moment.

Having four cards will mean that you have to run 2T timings, which will lower your performance. Personally, I would get 2Gb and spend the rest on other areas - e.g. a good dual core CPU.

As above, the X2 3800 is an excellent overclocker, if you were thinking of going down those lines - see here.

but i'm not a 100% windows user :) :) :) :) i aint restricted with 2 gig limits lol

Just because you can address 4 gigs of ram doesn't mean it will be of any use to you. It will probably slow your system down. Like someone else has already pointed out, save the money & replace that god awful graphics card you have. :p
