Which Android phone

I'm not that clued up on Android phones but I am after one for the missus.
Would appreciate any advice you can offer.

Needs to have
Front facing camera - this is a definate and is needed for skype
Decentish camera
Alright battery life
Cheaper the better
Unlocked - will be going with giffgaff.

As it is for the missus it doesn't have to be the latest or greatest as she currently has some ancient nokia so anything will be an improvement.
Good skype performance is a must though.

I have just moved into the world of smartphones after 5 years with a k750i :D

I got a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. Can really recommend it, and it has a great camera (one of the reasons I plumped for it). However it is a bit smaller than other smartphones, this was another reason I chose the model, but I imagine it may put others off. The other Xperias are much bigger, altho I dunno much about pricing :)
 
That does look like a good option, have you used skype on it?
Can seem to get it for around the £200 mark as well so the missus will be pleased
The other one I am looking at is the HTC EVO 3D for ~£230 at asda.
 
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S
You can get them £17 a month, 24 months with 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1Gb of Data on 3. That works out at about £100 for the contract over the unlocked price of the phone.

His biggest stipulation was it had to have a front facing camera which the Arc S doesn't. :(
