which apple laptop

i need it for uni it will need to be able to run, adobe PS/lightroom and after effects also final cut pro oh and a word processor

budget not sure will decide when i no what my options are

also will need to have a decent HDD battery life not as important as i can plug it in but it needs tobe a laptop

The fact that you put FCPro on there doesn't leave many options, likely to be a high end MacBook Pro
 
MacBook should handle it well if you get the higher spec one and max out the RAM to 4GB.

If not, go for the base/middle spec MacBook Pro.
 
yeah its for uni (Media studies) and first term is photography second is video which i plan to major in so to be able to have the option to do more at home will be a bonus as the uni use apple mac desktops

Don't forget to use the HE discount to get money off as you are in uni. :)

how much is the discount?, im really wanting to get it as it will help me big time as for working from home ect

EDIT: i will probs upgrade the ram to 4gb too

Do the RAM yourself, a lot cheaper.

Just in case you don't know, the rumour is new macbooks will be getting released on the 14th October or there abouts. So if your not in any major rush for a new laptop I would wait it out till then in case of any upgrade from the current specs.
 
You should also try the refurb centre, I saved about £500 off my MacBook Air by getting a refurbished one :D

yeah i can wait till then the video module doesnt start until december so im ok thanks for the heads up!
