Which Arctic Cooler?

Can someone please just clarify which Arctic Cooling Silencer/cooler I need for;

a) an ATi 9800 Pro 128MB
b) An NVIDIA 6800LE

There seems to be some discrepencies between the models for specific cards as shown by Overlockers with those I've found on other on-line PC parts stores & e-bay.

Anyone know if this is definitely cool for a 9800Pro? the seller say it is but Overclockers don't seem to have this one on their catalogue so I can check it;

The one on ebay seems to be the right one.

If you look at the big pic it say's 9800xt on it so you should be fine.

Having checked the overclockers listing and gone to the full specification link it states that the ati 1 rev2 cooler supports 9800 pro cards.

For the nvidia silencer 5 it simply lists that it fits 6800 range cards. It doesnt specify an LE so i couldn't be sure! Sorry!

It states this cooler's exclusively for 9800xt's - it probably won't fit your pro!

Ah ha! Good one. I hadn't seen that. won't go for that one then.

Bit confusing all this - I'm concerned that each cooler seems to be specific to each chipset. Yet it bolts onto the card!! Surely the cards are not a standard size as depicted by each chipset?

The link to the arctic cooling site states that it'll fit a 9800 pro plus it's only £14 and in stock!

There's one on ebay at £8.50 + £2.50 delivery with 5 hours left - search for VGA Silencer!

May be true but it doesn't say that on the official website or on their compatibility chart:

I was just warning Dogboy73 to be careful.

Still lists the 'ATi 1' as compatible.

Well in the end I bought one for the 9800 Pro ...... The fan didn't work! Turned out the gfx card was shot to bits anyway!

The GForce 6800LE was still under warranty so I RMA'd that & got a replacement.
