Which Artic cooling compound would be better for cooling a core 2 duo e6600 at around 3GHz - 3.2GHz ??
1. Arctic Cooling MX-1 Thermal Compound

"Just got this with my new Arctic cpu cooler, it says that it takes some time for the paste to reach its optimality but i saw immediate results, my idle temps on Oced E6300 were hovering around 44C but after using this with my new cooler a drop of 17C occured and thats only on the first day of use. Although i cannot emphasise enough that a good ambient temperature is a key to required level of cooling so make sure you have sorted that out first!"
OR
2. Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

"O.k big question Does this Stuff Really make a Difference over stock Thermal paste. Deffo a YES here a good 2-3 degrees lower temps over the normal white thermal and to people that love to Oc or just want a stable cool longer lasting computer then this is worth it,"
>Both will be used with a Tuniq Tower, and I know how highly rated the Artic Silver 5 is on these forums, but one person says that it dropped their CPU temperature "a good 2-3 degrees" whereas a Bilal who was using the Artic Cooling MX-1 claims to have recieved a 17 degrees C' drop...also an "issue" that people have said they have had with the AS5 is that the tube is only ~1.5 inches long...
Which is why I have come here to ask which one is better?

Thanks in advance.

, so does this
lol, I guess which ever Artic cooling compound I use with the Tuniq will produce better results than pre-applied compound, but it's whether I'm feeling generous enough to dish out £7 over <£5 or not lol..
